About me

AS THE YOUNGEST OF EIGHT CHILDREN, godmother of two, an aunt to 18 (yes, 18), and
mom to two, I have learned the value of patience when interacting with all types of personalities.

With a documentary style approach to photography, I work best as a fly on the wall, observing
and recording moments without encroaching on them. What I like best, is photographing ordinary
daily happenings in an extraordinary way.

After completing my Master's Degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University, I worked
at newspapers in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia and New Hampshire before settling into life
as a freelance documentary photographer in Vermont. I have received numerous awards for my
            photography, regionally, nationally and internationally.

When I'm not taking pictures, I enjoy knitting, dabbling in bookmaking, exploring the outdoors,
cooking and teaching photography to a wide-range of students–from 5th graders to senior citizens.
